Singapore is a small country but has much for the tourist to see. Tourist Offices are able to provide general information on their area, much of it as appropriate to the resident as to the visitor. The Tourist Office is bound to have information, brochures and flyers about festivals, concerts and other events. It can also provide information on all tourism questions as well as questions on public transport and more. When in need of some help, tourism staff are always worth asking.

Rent a mountain bike or hike around. Go into the rubber plantation, bash through the jungle and study the plants. Or bring a tent and camp on the beach. To get there take a bumboat ride from Changi Point Ferry Terminal. Boats run from sunrise to sunset, but special arrangements may be made with the boatmen for trips after dark. The fort is also a venue for outdoor and indoor performances and events. Singapore, a hundred years ago, was a place for many people of different races to work. To avoid racial clashes, each race was assigned to live in a separate part of town. The Chinese stayed at what is now known as Chinatown. Little India is just like a town in India because of the multitudes of Indians there. Arab Street has many Mosques and fabric shops.
